Recently, I was asked by a beautiful bride-to-be to design her wedding flowers, and let me just say that I could not be more excited! Heather and Walter will have a lovely, traditional ceremony at their church, followed by what sounds like one HECK of a reception at one of the most scenic rooftops in the Houston Heights. Hurry up, March 2018!
After some back-and-forth and a consultation with the sweet couple, I put together a few design boards for this project. Here they are, along with some inspiration images, if you’d like to see:
Well, I’ve been neglecting this blog/ website/ project for too long. This last year has been full of life, work, and the usual chaos (excuses)… but I’ve decided to invest a little more time curating my portfolio, sharing my work, and putting my thoughts out there for whomever to look over. We’ll see if I can stick with it.
I spend an indecent above-average amount of time browsing for inspiration on the internet through blogs, Instagram, online magazines, Pinterest, etc.
I am a twenty-something girl who works in a creative industry; this habit should surprise no one.
But this morning I tried to create a curated Pinterest board to define my style, and man… it was tough. I find inspiration everywhere and find joy in flipping through beautiful pictures and ideas, but I’ve never sat down to truly attempt to define myself in a single collage with a limited number of pieces. I had gotten this far when I realized it’s impossible. There will always be more images to add, more floral-arranging/home-decorating/scone-baking/margarita-shaking ideas to collect. The world is full of so many ideas and people doing spectacular things, and we are lucky to spend our Saturday mornings perusing it all.
